-
On Monday March 1st, 2010 the Pomeroy Fire Company continued its training series with Vehicle Rescue training. Fire Captain Jared Dalmas set up an evening of review and hands-on training with Bucks County Instructors and Guardian Fire and Rescue to conduct the training of demonstrating the use of hydraulic rescue equipment and the new tools that are available.

Over the past few months the members of the Pomeroy Fire Company have been working on setting Engine 29-1 up with vehicle rescue equipment. The training consisted of using Engine 29-1 vehicle rescue equipment along with new rescue equipment from Hurst.

The instructors and members completed two live evolutions of vehicle rescue training on the grounds of Station # 29. Crews completed vehicle stabilization, vehicle rescue and extrication training on the staged vehicles.

The members of the Pomeroy Fire Company would like to thank Guardian and the Instructors that came out and assisted for the vehicle rescue training.

The Pomeroy Fire Company personnel have been working hard in 2010 to come forth with training for the company and its members. The personnel have already logged over 150 hours of training so far this year and continue to work towards its goal of getting the personnel trained and reviewed of the skills that have been taught and received over the years.
