Thursday, February 11, 2010 - The Pomeroy Fire Company answered the City of Philadelphia's call for assistance via the cities Emergency Operations Center. Squad 29 and EMS Lieutenant Brecht deployed to the Philadelphia Fire Administration command center for special assignments. Squad 29, along with four other Chester County Fire & EMS entities, responded with the largest contingency of volunteers from outside the city.
Squad 29's assignment was successful in the pick-up and delivery of dialysis patients to clinics around the Metro area.
EMS Lieutenant Brecht reported extreme driving hazards all throughout the city.
Squad 29 logged over 50 miles of Inner city assistance.
